Actually my SMP server is hosted in client network, and we the mobility team are residing in another corporate network. Thus the reverse proxy comes into picture.

So as per my understanding, from the SMP server hosted machine, I have to run the "telnet proxy 8080" and other commands?

One more thing, the 5228,5229 and 5230 ports have been open by the client network's team for all the IPs. So am I supposed to make any changes in the management cockpit ( http proxy settings)??
