yes with optional LOV's will not load automatically.
Resolution
- The option "Automatic Refresh before use" is NOT used in Web Intelligence in BI4.1. But this does not mean the LOV is always submitted to the database.
- The expected behavior of LOV depends on whether the prompt already has a Last Answer kept or not:
- If there is a previous answer from a previous prompt, then the product tries to retrieve the LOV from the cash. If no cash is found then user has to click on Refresh to retrieve the values from the database
- If no previous value is available then:
a- if the prompt is mandatory: the product forces a refresh of LOV from the database
b- if the prompt is optional: the product does not display any LOV, user has to click on Refresh button to retrieve values from the database.
