Hi,
Yes, of course you have to use scanner if you want to scan something right.
There are many different brands in the market for scanners and you need to compare them
in term of pricing and specifications. If you use for commercial use in a warehouse with huge
transactions daily, recommended to use a proper scanner. In the scanner or device, you need
to have an apps that integrate to SAP or try contacting SAP directly to check for available
SAP Mobile applications(recommended).
For the configurations if not SAP provided apps, you can imagine if you want to use apps that custom develop which will integrate with your SAP, then it was project that can take sometimes like how the apps sent data to SAP and vice versa including the coding apps that will connect the scanner
device. This will need consultants to write the blueprint/flows and developer to program it with proper
UAT and SIT.
Please check first with SAP directly through your SAP representative what is the available options or any SAP mobile apps available.
