We produce hot rolled coils out of steel slabs in a MTO scenario.Raw material is steel slab and UOM is TO.For each coil as per customer order the slab weight varies so we cannot provide a fixed amount in BOM.For example to produce 1 coil 25 tons of slab is required and for another 27 tons may be required.How to handle this situation and how costing is done in this case?Can we do manual costing?Activity costs are fixed.
