It took me about 2 years to write my first blog. That is primarily attributed to the fact that I am not a noisy blogger but also to the blog UI back then.
Back then blogs were moderated before release and documents went via SAP and had SAP logos on it that they were reviewed by product managers.
Now it is easier. OK.
But also noisier as it is just a mouse click away...
I guess the intention is the key. Take a guess how many moderator efforts are caused by noisy blogs and documents once people find that reproducing help.sap.com documentation can make them famous?
The acid test is always whether they can answer some tricky questions about the topic or at least the blog / document leads to a discussion.
Typically it does not. Just noise if you write about something you are not particularly knowledgeable about...
The problem is the points system, not the people.
