OK. I'm sooooo confused. In your initial post you say:

Now you say you are installing SP 14(?!). CR 2008 does not have SP 14:
CR 2008 only goes up to SP 7...
And the error:
VS 2012 is incompatible with my version of Windows (Windows 7! - and I am currentl;y using VS 2013!
No idea how you got there.
I need you to calmly describe your environment in detail. As it is, absolutely nothing of what you have described so far makes any sense. Too many errors and contradictions.
