Re: Conditional Formatting Popup

Hi Mithilesh

From your previous screenshot I assume you have pasted in white rectangles to hide the data and what your posted is not actually what you are seeing??!

Why can you not resize the column widths? They are resized by using the column divider bars that are in the column header. (See the green arrow in the screenshot below).

The reason why you don't see a scrollbar is because the column width matches the width currently allocated for metadata.

Let me explain... the green arrow is pointing to a vertical bar in the column header. This resizes the Sales Person column. All the vertical bars in the column header are thin (pale grey) and are used to resize their respective columns.

However the vertical line below the line used to resize the Sales Person column is thicker (dark grey). This is the metadata divider bar. This can also be dragged left/right but it's behaviour is very different. This line lets you see how much metadata you show on the screen (left side) compared to how much data you show on the screen (right side).

Imagine you have 5 or more stacked dimensions. That does not leave much room to view the actual data. So you can drag the metadata divider bar to the left so you see less metadata but more data.

This is now when the scrollbar appears. Because the space allocated to show the metadata is less than required to see all the metadata, the scrollbar appears and lets you scroll left/right and see all the metadata.

Try it... resize the columns and move the metadata divider bar to see the effect.

Regards
