Hello,

You can get the geographical coordinates from the google and use it as explained below. If you are looking for Geospatial Analytics for your enterprise then you should integrated ESRI mapping solution with SAP Lumira. More information in Latest on SAP BI and Geospatial Analytics

Geographical hierarchy using latitude and longitude coordinates:

  1. Search for your city name in google map
  2. Open context menu by right mouse click on the city

3. Select “What’s here?”

4. You can now get the co-ordinates for the city as shown below

5. Create columns “ Latitude” and “Logitude” . Enter the geographical coordinates data in the respective columns as shown below.

City

Latitude

Longitude

Population

Zelzate

51.19827

3.812407

50000

 

6. Acquire the dataset in SAP Lumira and go to Visualize tab. Select the options icon in the dimension “City” and create a geographical hierarchy by latitude and longitude.

7. Select the columns latitude and longitude for their respective coordinates and choose next

8. Now you must be able to see your city with proper geographical coordinates
